Music Café and Bookstore of PWM Edition

1. General Information

This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for processing personal data of users of the UNA online service, which provides information about cultural events organised at the UNA music café and bookstore of the PWM Edition in Kraków.

The data administrator is Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (PWM Edition) located at al. Pokoju 1, 31-541 Kraków (“Administrator”).

2. Scope of Data Processing

The Administrator processes personal data only to the extent necessary for the proper operation of the UNA service.

In particular, the following data may be processed:

  • email address (e.g., for correspondence),
  • user preferences regarding text size (accessibility feature),
  • technical data (IP address, browser and device information),
  • data provided in email correspondence.

Data are obtained directly from the user or automatically during use of the service.

3. Purposes and legal bases for data processing

Personal data are processed for the following purposes:

  1. handling inquiries addressed to the Administrator

– Article 6(1)(b) or (f) of the GDPR;

  1. fulfilling the Administrator’s legal obligations (in particular accounting and tax obligations)

– Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR;

  1. statistical analysis of service usage (analytics cookies) – only after obtaining user consent

– only after obtaining user consent, – Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

  1. The Administrator does not process personal data for advertising or remarketing purposes.

4. Recipients of personal data

Personal data may be disclosed to:

  • entities providing IT, hosting, and technical services,
  • public authorities – only based on legal provisions.

5. Transfer of data outside the EU

As a general rule, personal data are not transferred outside the European Union.

In the case of statistical cookies (Google Analytics), data may be transferred to third countries (in particular the USA) only after user consent and with safeguards required by the GDPR (including standard contractual clauses).

6. Data retention period

Data retention period:

  • for the duration of the contract and after its termination – in accordance with legal regulations,
  • until consent is withdrawn – for data processed based on consent,
  • until the limitation period for potential claims expires.

7. User Rights

Users have the following rights:

  • access to personal data,
  • rectification of data,
  • deletion of data,
  • restriction of processing,
  • data portability,
  • objection to processing,
  • withdrawal of consent at any time,
  • filing a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

8. Cookies

The UNA service uses cookies as follows:

Essential cookies Always active and required for proper functioning, including basic functionality and security.

Do not require user consent.

Preference cookies Allow saving user settings and are used only after consent

In particular, the service uses the textScale cookie, which stores the selected text size (3 levels: A, A+, A++ – accessibility feature compliant with WCAG). This cookie is valid for 365 days.

Language selection (Polish/English) is done via the URL path (/pl/, /en/) and does not require cookies or user consent.

Analytics cookies Help the Administrator understand how users interact with the service and are used only for analysis and improvement.

Activated only after user consent.

Consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time in the cookie settings.

Limiting cookies may affect some service functionalities.

9. Google Analytics

The UNA service uses Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, only for statistical cookies.

Google Analytics is activated only after user consent via the cookie mechanism.

Data collected are used solely for statistical and analytical purposes.

10. Protection of Children’s Data

The UNA service is not intended for children under 16 years of age.

The Administrator does not knowingly process personal data of children.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Administrator reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy in case of changes in the law, service functionality, or applied technologies.

The current version of the document is always available on the service’s website.
